From the Rooftops

Ever have such good news to share that you feel like shouting it from the rooftops?  Consider this blog post my own little personal rooftop!  It’s been a BIG week… the coming weeks are likely to be as big or BIGGER!

First, I am beyond proud to share with you that my book, Coffee Lunch Coffee:  A Practical Field Guide for Master Networking is now available in both print and Kindle editions!  I gush whenever I think about it!  What started with a germ of an idea as a blog last November, is now a published work.  There are far too many people to thank in a single blog post, but I must call out a few very, very special people in my life who made sure the vision came to fruition:  My editor, Leigh Haber; my designer, Joann Bittel; my parents, Charlene and Max Muller; my son, Ian Hammer; and, especially, my husband, Marc Hammer.  What strikes me as particularly noteworthy is that YOU, my loyal CLC community, really wrote this book.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, encouragement, ideas, input, etc.  Please consider picking up a copy of the book and, if the information and ideas and exercises resonate with you, please tell others about it, too.

Second, depending on where you are reading this post, you may have noticed a new look and feel to my website… very special thanks to Bryan Azorsky of Nodebud – a creative and gifted web developer who worked tirelessly to bring the site to life.  Please write to me and let me know what you think of our new digs.

Third, I have spent the last several weeks preparing for TEDx Overland Park coming up next Wednesday!  Under my friend, Sherri Jacobs’ amazing leadership, it is sure to be a huge success.  I’m beyond excited about the opportunity to address the audience and am absolutely humbled that I get the chance to present my thoughts and advice on networking there.  I am very thankful to my friend, Eric Morgenstern at Morningstar Communications, who has been particularly helpful in coaching me for my big presentation.  Though the event is sold out, I learned yesterday that it will be live streamed from Johnson County Community College’s Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art.  I hope you will all plan to tune in from 3-7pm Central time on Wednesday, October 17, 2012.

OK… forgive me for bragging!  I’m just so proud and appreciative and excited!  More great stuff coming your way soon…
