2018 Holiday Gift Guide

Every year, by tradition, I offer a networking-minded holiday gift guide and, wouldn’t you know it, today’s question is:

What gift ideas do you have for the person who has it all?

Well, I’m so glad you asked!  I have some terrific ideas for 2018…

Jelly Beans and More.  Billed as the “ultimate candy boutique for adults,” Sugarfina offers a delicious variety of gourmet treats from artisan candy makers.  Check out their Bento Boxes – you can design your own mix comprised of three to 24 little jars of goodness… champagne bears, sugar lips, single malt scotch cordials, super sour hearts, tequila grapefruit sours, apple frogs, royal roses, matcha green tea caramels… need I go on?  Click here to find a location near you or order online – they ship everywhere!

A Framed Photo or Piece of Art from Framebridge.  I learned recently about a really cool service from Framebridge.  Essentially, you select a frame and upload your photo or artwork… Framebridge does the rest!  Your recipient will be wowed when they receive their beautifully framed image in a great package at their front door.

Popcorn.  Since 1948, Topsy’s Popcorn has been a Kansas City staple serving up some of the best popcorn treats this here side of anywhere!  I grew up on this stuff and absolutely love their caramel corn, spicy cinnamon corn, tangy cheese corn… it’s all wonderful!  I recommend their darling tins in any number of designs – depending on the size you select, you can choose one to three flavors.

Personal Styling.  Everyone loves a personal stylist and Stitch Fix is “your partner in personal style!”  This is a great service that seeks to understand the clothing and accessory needs, tastes and lifestyles of its clientele.  You might consider sending a gift card to your best contacts.  After completing his/her profile, your recipient will get a box in the mail, try on the contents, select what they want and return the rest.

Coffee Mugs.  Everyone loves a great new mug and, again this year, like clockwork, my pal, Andrew Starr, surprised me with a customized coffee (tea, for me!) mug with his annual holiday greetings.  It always brings a smile to my face and is such a fun and thoughtful gesture.  Andrew sends his from Café Press – they are great quality pieces and I love my collection!

Stuff Tracker.  Talk about combining function with technology, Tile is a great little gadget for those among us who are prone to lose things like our phones and keys!  In conjunction with an app, it tracks and finds your stuff – simply ring your items when you can’t find them.

Book It!  And, as ever, I’m offering the Coffee Lunch Coffee version of a Black Friday deal… Consider ordering a copy of my Coffee Lunch Coffee: A Practical Field Guide for Master Networking for your favorite contacts.  This, my first book, offers an accessible, relevant, immediately actionable approach to professional networking for anybody interested in connecting with others, getting involved in their community, seeking to advance their career or looking to build social relationships.  It will help you formulate a strategic mindset around networking while creating a game plan to get out there and connect.  BONUS:  Now through December 24, 2018, if you order directly from my website, I’ll personalize an inscription to your recipient and even include a free copy of my fun minibook, Coffee Lunch Coffee:  Five Tips for Making the Most of Networking Events.  No promo code necessary.
