Guest Bloggers Wanted!

If you’ve been a member of the CLC Community for at least a year, you know that every November I depart from my standard weekly blog and, instead, post every day in keeping with Coffee Lunch Coffee tradition and to loosely honor National Novel Writing Month.

Well, November is nearly here!  Over the past few years, I have gratefully welcomed guest posts for at least half of the blogs published during the month.  Sure, it takes some of the weight off my shoulders, but, more importantly, it gives the CLC Community more voices to hear from when it comes to Networking know-how, ideas and experiences.  It also allows a creative outlet for some of you who have hidden your writing talent for too long!

So, here’s the deal, if you are interested in submitting a guest post, this year’s rules go something like this:

  1. Pick a Song. Yes, a song.  Something that reminds you of something related to Networking, building better relationships, et al., and use that as the basis for your post.  Music is my prevailing theme for this November’s effort.  Here are a few examples to get you thinking:  “You’ve Got a Friend” by James Taylor, “Simply the Best” by Tina Turner, “Don’t You Forget About Me” by Simple Minds, “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” by Starship, “I’m Still Standing” by Elton John or “I Gotta Feeling” by The Black Eyed Peas.  You get the idea.
  2. Brevity is the Soul of Wit. Keep your post to 250-500 words.  Please don’t ask me to “just keep what [I] want.”  Instead, limit your remarks to the defined parameters.
  3. Submit Your Post by October 23, 2017. Send your submission to me by email in a Word document along with your bio (no more than 200 words, please) and your headshot (a JPEG file is preferred).

I will select up to 15 guest posts to share during the month of November and will let you know if your piece has been chosen and approximately when you can expect to see it published.  If I am unable to use your piece this year, I will let you know that, too.

Thanks for your consideration – feel free to share this with others who might have an interest in participating.  Happy Writing!  Happy Networking!
